# Compliance & Risk

> Operational boundaries for a live, multi-surface, crypto-native network

## Disclaimers

* Content is for informational purposes; not financial advice
* Participation in markets/raffles may carry risk
* Users are responsible for complying with local laws

<Warning>
  Nothing in this documentation constitutes investment advice, legal counsel, or a guarantee of returns. Token values fluctuate and past performance is not indicative of future results. Consult qualified professionals for financial or legal decisions.
</Warning>

## Regional Restrictions

* Certain features may be unavailable in specific jurisdictions
* Access controls can be applied at the application layer

### Geo-Blocking Details

Jurisdictions with restricted access are determined by facilitator compliance requirements. The protocol itself is permissionless, but application-layer access (e.g., fiat on/off-ramp, hosted UI) may enforce geo-blocks as required by the facilitator partner's regulatory obligations. Restricted jurisdictions are subject to change as regulations evolve.

<Info>
  Geo-restrictions apply at the facilitator and application layer, not at the smart contract level. On-chain interactions remain permissionless, but UI-level access may be limited based on your jurisdiction.
</Info>

## Age Gating

* Platform terms of service require all users to be **18 years of age or older**
* Wallet-based authentication does not perform native age verification, compliance with the age requirement is the responsibility of the user
* Where local regulations require explicit age gating mechanisms, additional verification steps may be enforced at the application layer

## KYC Thresholds (Where Applicable)

* Large rewards or treasury interactions may require identity checks
* Follow published thresholds and provide secure verification flows

### Facilitator-Level KYC

KYC requirements apply specifically for **fiat on/off-ramp** functionality. These checks are managed by the facilitator partner (not by the protocol directly). Users interacting purely on-chain with crypto assets are not subject to KYC unless they access facilitator services that require it.

* Fiat conversion above facilitator-defined thresholds triggers identity verification
* The facilitator handles all KYC data collection, storage, and compliance
* The protocol does not store or have access to user identity documents

## Risk Categories

Understanding the types of risk associated with participation in the ecosystem:

    Smart contract bugs, infrastructure downtime, or integration failures could result in temporary loss of access to funds or incorrect settlement calculations. Mitigation includes security audits, circuit breakers, and multi-sig controls.
